Vitiva, Slovenia, appoints David Howard as a UK Regional Sales Director

Vitiva, Slovenia, appoints David Howard as the UK Regional Sales Director for Vitiva’s UK office, in response to the growing market demand for Vitiva’s natural Oxidation Management System solutions and food-enhancement customized systems, to serve the UK food and beverage manufacturing market.

With more than 25 years of experience in the food ingredient industry, Howard brings a wealth of knowledge  via a number of years with Raps GmbH, plus having served the last five years in manufacturing for industrial and marketing companies with Huegli UK Ltd.

The 2010 decision by EFSA to accept carnosic acid and carnosol-based rosemary extracts as safe and natural alternatives to synthetic antioxidants increased the awareness of Vitiva’s extensive line in the UK, especially since British consumers became more sensitive to synthetic preservatives and increased the demand for clean-label food and beverage products. “This move allows food manufacturers to significantly expand their product portfolio by creating high quality and innovative products that also have a natural image,” explains Howard.

“Howard will open new horizons for Vitiva and will lead us to strengthen our position in the food and beverage market in the UK,” says Ohad Cohen, CEO of Vitiva. “He will provide our clients all the required support and attention, and help them initiate product from the R&D stage to the finished stage, without the inclusion of synthetic preservatives.”
